Southern Air Systems Maintenance, Inc. (SAM) is a FAA Part 145 certified Repair Station and full service maintenance facility capable of major inspections, structural repairs and modifications.
SAM operates from a 32,000 square ft. maintenance hangar within the Tampa International Jet Center complex at Tampa International Airport. It is one of two authorized general aviation maintenance operations on the field. In addition to our Tampa facility and satellite bases, we have a Mobile Services Group (MSG) for distressed aircraft (AOG) circumstances. This MSG team is equipped for most AOG circumstances and utilizes a dedicated vehicle and small aircraft to swiftly accomplish the mission of getting you back in the air.
SAM can also provide aircraft maintenance consultancy for outside repair efforts and technical aircraft evaluations.
SAM operates under a FAA approved drug program for the needs of our FAA Part 135 and 121 customers, and we utilize vendor partner arrangements with Dallas Airmotive for engine work, and Duncan Aviation for avionics repairs and modifications.
